Details to have ready
- VIN
- Lithuanian registration number
- Registration certificate and seller SDK details
Check registration through Regitra
Regitra links to official vehicle-registration checks from its e-services page. Follow that entry point and use the identifiers requested by the service. Match the registration information to the original certificate and the VIN on the car.
Distinguish SDK from vehicle condition
Regitra provides a separate SDK search relating to the ownership-declaration process. Check the seller’s paperwork through that service and resolve inconsistencies with Regitra. An SDK reference is not evidence that a vehicle has never been damaged or had its mileage altered.
Request the earlier country’s records
For an imported vehicle, obtain foreign registration certificates, technical-inspection reports and dated repair invoices. Regitra registration information answers administrative questions; a mechanical inspection and a documented mileage chronology answer different questions.
Limits to keep in mind
- This guide does not claim Regitra offers a complete public VIN accident or odometer report.
- Lookup identifiers and access conditions depend on the selected Regitra service.
Commercial reports and an independent inspection
Compare a provider’s coverage with the periods and countries missing from your documents. A commercial report may add evidence, but it does not replace an official check where one is needed or an inspection of the actual vehicle. Read provider reviews before choosing.
