Details to have ready
- Latvian registration number
- VIN
- Registration certificate and inspection evidence
Start from e-CSDD
The official e-CSDD portal distinguishes authenticated services and services available without registration. Follow the relevant vehicle-information route and review current access requirements. Do not assume every record is available anonymously from a VIN.
Compare the dated mileage evidence
Use the inspection and mileage information available in the selected CSDD service to build a chronology alongside invoices. CSDD’s service documentation also distinguishes foreign-mileage information where available; check the actual country and date of each entry.
Keep identity verification separate
CSDD describes a vehicle-data verification service as a distinct procedure. If identity or document details are unclear, ask CSDD which verification is appropriate. An online record should not override a mismatch between the car’s VIN and the original registration certificate.
Limits to keep in mind
- Authentication, fees and available fields vary by service.
- An absence of foreign or damage entries does not prove that no such events occurred.
Commercial reports and an independent inspection
Compare a provider’s coverage with the periods and countries missing from your documents. A commercial report may add evidence, but it does not replace an official check where one is needed or an inspection of the actual vehicle. Read provider reviews before choosing.
