Details to have ready
- Hungarian registration number
- VIN for document and physical comparison
- Accepted government electronic identity
Access JSZP through the government portal
The Jármű Szolgáltatási Platform is reached through Hungary’s government e-administration portal. It uses government authentication and a registration-number query. Follow the current login options on the official portal; this is not an anonymous VIN-only service.
Review the domestic chronology
JSZP’s published scope includes technical-inspection observations, odometer entries and certain administrative, insurance and damage information. Compare the returned dates and supporting images with the car and its documents. Investigate contradictory readings rather than averaging them.
Respect the Hungarian coverage boundary
The service describes coverage for vehicles registered in Hungary and restricts personal owner/operator information. For a recent import, request foreign records for the earlier years; a domestic registration trail should not be presented as a complete international history.
Limits to keep in mind
- Government login is required; current accepted identity methods must be checked on the service.
- Coverage and dates vary by field; missing events remain unknown.
Commercial reports and an independent inspection
Compare a provider’s coverage with the periods and countries missing from your documents. A commercial report may add evidence, but it does not replace an official check where one is needed or an inspection of the actual vehicle. Read provider reviews before choosing.
