Check the Ministry odometer records
Kontrola tachometru displays readings recorded during technical and emissions inspections after entering a VIN. Read the entries as a timeline and investigate any decrease, long gap or unexplained change in usage.
Understand what a recorded reading means
The service explicitly warns that an inspection reading need not represent the true current total mileage. A steadily rising sequence can still contain earlier manipulation. Compare it with servicing invoices and the physical condition of the car.
Separate Czech and imported history
An imported car may have a limited Czech inspection trail. Ask for foreign registration and inspection documents covering the years before arrival, and check that the VIN on them matches the car and the current STK paperwork.
Limits to keep in mind
- Odometer entries are not a complete collision, finance or service report.
- No vehicle-specific query was performed for this guide.
Commercial reports and an independent inspection
Compare a provider’s coverage with the periods and countries missing from your documents. A commercial report may add evidence, but it does not replace an official check where one is needed or an inspection of the actual vehicle. Read provider reviews before choosing.
