Request the CVH mileage certificate
Centar za vozila Hrvatske describes a certificate of odometer readings from regular technical inspections. Ask the seller for it or contact a participating inspection station about the current procedure, identifiers and eligibility.
Interpret the readings correctly
CVH distinguishes the odometer value observed at inspection from a claim about the vehicle’s actual total distance. Compare successive entries with maintenance invoices and physical wear. A plausible sequence does not rule out manipulation before the first recorded inspection.
Investigate a recent import separately
Obtain the earlier foreign registration certificate, inspection reports and repair invoices. A Croatian inspection record may start after years of use elsewhere. Check the physical VIN and request an independent inspection if identity, condition or mileage remains unclear.
Limits to keep in mind
- The certificate concerns recorded odometer observations, not a complete accident or finance history.
- No individual certificate was ordered during this research.
Commercial reports and an independent inspection
Compare a provider’s coverage with the periods and countries missing from your documents. A commercial report may add evidence, but it does not replace an official check where one is needed or an inspection of the actual vehicle. Read provider reviews before choosing.
